Tonypandy Community College collaborate with Zoom 09!

Tonypandy Community College are working with Zoom to produce this year’s short film to premiere at the Opening Night of the Zoom Festival on Tuesday 20th January.

They decided to make a documentary about Environmental Issues, as they are all members of the Environment Group at the school and have been doing a lot of research into how to make heir school more energy efficient; how they could begin to use renewable energy with the ultimate goal to be a Carbon Neutral building.

The film sees them visit wind farms, conduct interviews with pupils and environmental experts and discover exactly what they can do to make their school ‘greener’.

This film will premier before the newest Disney family comedy "Beverly Hills Chihuahua".

Tickets for this event are only £1 to the festival screening at the Muni Arts Centre, Pontypridd. Tickets can be bough from the venue or from the Zoom office on 01443 413622.

The Coalfields Regeneration Trust is the principle funder for Zoom again this year making it possible to facilitate the making of this short film by the young people of Tonypandy Community College.
