FreshTies MEDIA PROJECT- www.freshties.com
Young people or adults train as reporters or marketers, and gain work experience by contributing articles to an official online newspaper for good news and constructive coverage. They also help market the newspaper. Their articles / videos / photo journalism reach a mainstream readership of individuals, business and charity who can also contribute articles.
FreshTies is a social enterprise, based in Torfaen, with a remit to work across Wales, wishing to collaborate with existing media projects and groups.
- Young people/adults engaged to learn practical skills in a credible context.
- Can make use of existing community IT / media centres and projects.
This project can run continuously to develop / establish a local section to the newspaper, and to provide continuous work experience opportunities. Other media projects can feed into the newspaper, too. We want to collaborate with existing projects, and develop new projects in partnership.
