Zoom Young People’s Film Awards 2009.

For 2009 there will be 10 awards, the categories are :-

Best film in age category 8-13

Best film in age category 14- 25

Best Performance

Best Direction

Best Animated Film

Best Documentary

Best Fiction Sponsored

Best Welsh language film

Zoom Audience Award - Voted for by you, the audience

The Zoom Award

Don’t forget that you can vote for your favourite film by text, by ballot during the festival or click here to vote online. The winning film will receive the Zoom audience Award, and you could be in with a chance of winning a special prize. So get voting!

The final award is the Zoom award, which will be presented by the grand jury to the film which they feel most represents the spirit of Zoom. The Award Ceremony is set to be a star studded event and an opportunity for you to see what the competition has to offer. The ZYFA ceremony is like no other. The awards will be presented to the winners not just by the judges, but also by celebrities! You’ll have to come to see who they are – but you won’t be dissappointed!
You don’t have to have entered a film to attend, just come along and preapre to be amazed by the talent that’s right under your nose!

All filmmakers aged between 8-25 who submitted their work during Wales' International Young People's Film Festival are in with a chance of winning one of the fantastic Zoom Young Filmmaker of the Year Award 2009. The best films will be shortlisted by the Zoom Grand Jury before the Zoom Young Filmmakers of the 2009 are finally announced at the Zoom Film Festival Awards Ceremony at the Muni Arts Centre on the 23rd January 2009.
